Based near Belfast, Charles McQuillan is an experienced freelance photographer available for news, sport, features and commercial assignments throughout Ireland.

 

His photographs have featured in noteworthy publications such as The New York Times, El Pais, Der Spiegel and The Washington Post and his work has also appeared on the front pages of the Times, the Guardian and the Daily Telegraph in the UK. He also accepts editorial commissioned work from the BBC, the Wall Street Journal and the Los Angeles Times and works for Getty Images across the island of Ireland and further afield.

His commercial work portfolio includes clients such as Guinness, UEFA, Nike, R&A and he has produced exclusive content for major recording artists such as Taylor Swift (TAS24), Dua Lipa and Stormzy in conjunction with Getty Images.

 

He is the winner of numerous UK awards, most notably the UK Picture Editor's Picture Essay of the Year 2018, the Press Photographer's Year Picture of the Year 2013 and four Photographer of the Year titles.
